Salmon Canapes


  • 85g sliced smoked RSPCA Assured salmon
  • 24 x 5cm diameter round rye
For the Base
  • 110g regular or whipped cream cheese
  • 55g plain Greek yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced (optional)
  • 1 tsp honey
  • A pinch of salt
For the Toppings
  • 1 radish, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp capers
  • A handful of micro greens, optional

Cooking Method

Step 1: Cut out the bread circles (or squares)

Step 2: Set aside in an uncovered bowl to firm up

Step 3: Whisk together cream cheese, yoghurt, lemon juice and zest, dill, garlic (if using), honey and salt

Step 4: Assemble by covering each bread round with ½ tsp of cream cheese mixture, topped with smoked salmon

Step 5: Add a couple of capers and a wedge of radish or onion, as preferred

Step 6: Finish with some micro greens
