American pancakes

  • 1 RSPCA Assured eggs
  • 200ml RSPCA Assured milk
  • 200g self-raising flour
  • 8g baking powder
  • 15g caster sugar
  • 25g melted butter


  • Mix the flour, baking powder and caster sugar together with a pinch of salt in a large bowl.
  • Create a well using the dry ingredients.
  • Pour in the eggs, melted butter and milk.
  • Whisk together to form a smooth batter.
  • Heat a little oil in a non-stick pan over a medium heat.
  • Pour in enough batter to form an 8cm pancake. 
  • Cook the pancakes for about 1-2 mins or until tiny bubbles start to appear and pop on the surface.
  • Flip the pancakes over and cook for a further minute on the other side.
  • Serve your pancakes stacked up on a plate with a drizzle of maple syrup or your favourite topping.
