American Pancakes


  • 1 RSPCA Assured egg
  • 200ml RSPCA Assured milk
  • 200g self-raising flour
  • 8g baking powder
  • 15g caster sugar
  • 25g melted butter

Cooking Method

Step 1: Mix the flour, baking powder and caster sugar together with a pinch of salt in a large bowl.

Step 2: Create a well using the dry ingredients.

Step 3: Pour in the eggs, melted butter and milk.

Step 4: Whisk together to form a smooth batter.

Step 5: Heat a little oil in a non-stick pan over a medium heat.

Step 6: Pour in enough batter to form an 8cm pancake.

Step 7: Cook the pancakes for about 1-2 mins or until tiny bubbles start to appear and pop on the surface.

Step 8: Flip the pancakes over and cook for a further minute on the other side.

Step 9: Serve your pancakes stacked up on a plate with a drizzle of maple syrup or your favourite topping.
