Julie Taylor
RSPCA Assured new standards engagement advisor

After starting her career in IT, Julie moved into food and farming, developing a strong interest in animal agriculture and welfare. She studied agriculture and countryside management and has hands-on experience working with pigs, sheep, goats and poultry.
Julie joined RSPCA Assured in 2015 as an assessor covering northern England and southern Scotland, and has since progressed through a range of roles. She’s now part of the farming and technical engagement team (FATE), where she works across all farmed species, supporting members and contributing to the development and implementation of RSPCA welfare standards.
Outside of work, Julie owns two Alaskan Malamutes and helps run a local canicross club, promoting the activity as a fun and active way for people and dogs to exercise together.
