Toby Baker
RSPCA Assured executive director
Toby Baker is executive director of RSPCA Assured, the RSPCA’s higher welfare food label and farm assurance scheme.
He joined in February 2024 and is also a member of the RSPCA’s executive leadership team.
Before this, Toby spent his career working for consumer healthcare and food companies, including GlaxoSmithKline, Wrigley, Burtons Biscuits, Cereal Partners Worldwide and Premier Foods.
His background spans marketing and strategy, with experience leading teams and building strong commercial partnerships.
He’s passionate about improving animal welfare in farming and is focused on strengthening the reach and impact of RSPCA Assured, supporting our ambition for more than half of the UK’s farmed being raised to the RSPCA’s higher welfare standards by 2050.
