Chloe Pate
RSPCA scientific and policy officer for poultry

Chloe studied zoology with conservation at Bangor University before completing a master’s degree in applied animal behaviour and animal welfare at the University of Edinburgh.
She began her career working in zoos, first as a bird keeper and later as a research and welfare officer.
Chloe now works as a science and policy officer for the RSPCA, specialising in the welfare of turkeys, ducks and hatcheries.
Alongside her professional work, she keeps ducks of her own, bringing a personal passion to her role supporting higher welfare standards for farmed animals.
