Can you claim a tree planting grant?

Winter is a great time for tree planting, and the long, dark evenings can also be a good opportunity to check out grants and funding to help with the cost.

As well as the environmental benefits, trees and shrubs are a vital part of higher-welfare farming – providing shade, shelter, enrichment and security for farmed animals.

You may be able to apply for funding to help with the cost from charities like the Woodland Trust or regional schemes in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
