When you buy M&S chicken carrying the RSPCA Assured logo lets you know that you are buying chicken raised to the RSPCA’s higher welfare standards.
At M&S, all Oakham Gold products are RSPCA Assured, including chicken breast fillets and legs, which come from slower-grown corn-fed birds.
M&S salmon
100% of M&S farmed salmon is RSPCA Assured. By looking for the RSPCA Assured logo when you shop, you will be buying salmon which is raised and managed to a dedicated set of welfare standards.
At M&S, you’ll find a wide selection including Scottish sweet chilli hot smoked salmon, whisky smoked salmon, Scottish oak smoked salmon, simple Scottish boneless salmon fillets, and Scottish skin on & boneless salmon fillet joints for when you're cooking for the whole family.
M&S pork
100% of M&S pork is outdoor-bred RSPCA Assured. At M&S, you can find bacon, gammon, and lardons all carrying the RSPCA Assured logo and giving you the confidence to buy products knowing that they come from pigs that were raised and cared for to higher welfare standards.
M&S milk
In 2017, M&S became the first retailer to stock RSPCA Assured milk. Coming only from cows that live according to the RSPCA’s strict higher welfare standards, all milk on the shelves at M&S carries the RSPCA Assured logo.
M&S has a long history of leading on animal welfare standards, working with our M&S Select farmers we know and trust. We were the first retailer to sign up to the Better Chicken Commitment, the first major retailer to move to 100% Free Range eggs and all our pork is 100% outdoor bred.
