How to cook rice

For these simple and easy steps to cook perfect, fluffy rice every time.

  • 250g rice
  • Salt
Method
  • Fill a large saucepan with water and add a pinch of salt.
  • Bring the water to the boil.
  • Tip in the rice and return the water to a simmer. Stir the rice once.
  • Put on the saucepan lid and simmer the rice gently for 10 minutes or according to the instructions on the packet.
  • Drain off the water and fluff up the rice with a fork.
