French toast

  • 4 RSPCA Assured eggs
  • 4 thick slices of bread
  • Toppings of your choice, maple syrup, honey, caster sugar or ketchup
  • Crack the eggs into a large flat bowl and whisk with a little salt
  • Lay your out bread slices, one by one, in the mix and allow them to soak it up. If you’re using slightly stale bread, leave your slices in a bit longer but don’t let the bread become soggy
  • Quickly transfer the slices to a hot frying pan with a little oil in
  • Cook for about two minutes on each side or until they start to brown
  • Serve hot with a topping of your choice: maple syrup, honey, a sprinkling of caster sugar or even a splodge of ketchup
