RSPCA Assured - the RSPCA’s new ethical food label previously called Freedom Food - has launched a competition to win the ultimate dinner party hosted by popular chef and author, Cyrus Todiwala OBE.

The lucky winner will have dinner cooked for them and seven of their friends by Cyrus at his famous London restaurant, Cafe Spice Namaste, now celebrating its 20th year.

And the winner, and each of their guests, will receive a personally signed copy of Mr Todiwala’s Bombay, nominated for World Food Awards Cookbook of the Year.

For a chance to win, RSPCA Assured is asking entrants who their number one fantasy dinner party guest would be and why.

It can be anyone; a historical figure, an athlete, actor, musician or politician or perhaps like Cyrus you would love to have dinner with a legendary TV presenter.

How to enter

Simply click on www.rspcaassured.org.uk/dinnerparty  and enter your details.  RSPCA Assured’s 10  favourite entries will be entered into a Facebook poll with the winner randomly selected from amongst those who suggest the community’s most popular guest.

Cyrus said: “My ultimate dinner party guest has to be Sir David Attenborough. I’ve always admired his unwavering dedication to the natural world.

“And his passion and magical voice has inspired generations of people.  He must have so many stories and experiences to share - my perfect dinner guest.

“This competition is not only great fun, it’s also a fantastic way of telling friends and family about the new RSPCA Assured ethical food label.

"The label makes it so much easier to spot food from animals that have been treated humanely.  So you can support a better life for farm animals by simply looking for the label and telling others.”

RSPCA Assured helps farm animals have a better life

RSPCA Assured is running the competition in a bid to get people thinking about the welfare of animals farmed for food and spread the word about its new label which can be found on meat, eggs and fish in supermarkets and restaurants.

A new TV ad promoting RSPCA Assured will be shown on Channel 4  - during episodes of Sunday Brunch - E4, More4, Film4 and Dave throughout September.

It will also be supported by online and Facebook advertising and the UK’s top food website -  www.foodnetwork.co.uk  - will host RSPCA Assured recipes and feature RSPCA Assured in a newsletter to its followers.
