The RSPCA Assured Junior Compassionate Cook competition is open for entries!

We have more prizes and more chances to win than ever before.

All we’re asking is for six to 12-year-olds to film themselves making their yummiest recipe using RSPCA Assured and Fairtrade ingredients.

Two winners and four runners up will each receive hampers courtesy of Hamleys toy stores and every entrant will receive one of our exclusive Junior Compassionate Cook aprons (subject to availability).

In addition each winner and their school will receive a fun range of children’s cookware.

We're not looking for master chefs - just fun presenters and simple recipes that anyone can give a go.

“I’m passionate about food and showing kids how much fun it is to cook is a great way of giving them important skills for life.

“The competition will get kids thinking about where their food comes from and how it was produced.”

TV presenter and Compassionate Cook judge, Andi Peters

There are two categories in the competition - Judges’ Choice and People’s Choice.

Last year's junior winners Katie Armitage and Aneesah Hussain have made video messages for anyone thinking about entering the competition this year.

They talk about their experience and pass on tips for a winning video!

To find out more, check out our Junior Compassionate Cook pageGood luck...

“We're looking for fun presenters with easy recipes that anyone can try and make.
It's really important we educate children about where their food comes from and the lives of the animals that help to produce it.

Liz McClarnon, singer, TV presenter and Compassionate Cook judge
