RSPCA Assured is the new name for Freedom Food

RSPCA Assured is the new name for Freedom Food and you’ll soon begin to see our new label on meat, fish and eggs in shops and restaurants!

The RSPCA Assured label stands for exactly the same RSPCA animal welfare standards as the Freedom Food label, which cover every aspect of the animal’s life.

Jez Cooper, chief executive of the RSPCA Assured scheme, said:

“The RSPCA Assured label makes it easy to recognise products from animals that have had a better life, so you can feel confident about your choice when shopping and eating out."

You’ll continue to see the Freedom Food logo until May 2016 as shops and restaurants have packaging to use up, but you'll begin to spot the RSPCA Assured label from June this year.
