What is International Carrot Day?
International Carrot Day is the one day of the year when carrot lovers all over the world show their appreciation for the orange vegetable.

In previous years, Carrot Day has been celebrated with Carrot Parties and other root vegetable related shenanigans.

Traditionally, people come together and enjoy everything from carrot juice and healthy carrot cake to honey carrots and coleslaw. Carrot Day 2020 looks like it might be a bit different though. But just because you won’t be able to join up with like-minded carrot enthusiasts doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate this versatile veg.

The carrot is part of the Apiaceae or Umbelliferae family which makes it a cousin to parsley, fennel, dill and cumin.
