Fairtrade Fortnight 2022

What is Fairtrade Fortnight?

Every year, the Fairtrade Foundation organises a promotional campaign to increase awareness of Fairtrade products. It lasts for two weeks and it’s your opportunity to find out more about Fairtrade products and to support ethical trading.

What does the Fairtrade mark mean?

The Fairtrade Certification Mark is your assurance that a product has been produced according to the Fairtrade standards. When you see the Fairtrade logo, you know that you are supporting farmers and workers to improve their communities; it guarantees full traceability from the farm to the shelf.

What is Fairtrade and how does it work?

Fairtrade is an international agreement between companies in developed countries and the producers of products in developing countries. It ensures producers, workers and growers receive a sustainable income for their work and products so they can improve their lives and their community.

When is Fairtrade Fortnight 2022?

What is the theme of this year's Fairtrade Fortnight?

This year, the focus of Fairtrade Fortnight is climate change, and the growing problems this poses to farmers and workers within the Fairtrade community.

What products are Fairtrade?

There is a whole range of Fairtrade products on the system including bananas, honey, coffee, oranges, cocoa bean, cocoa, cotton, dried and fresh fruits and vegetables, juices, nuts and oilseeds, quinoa, rice, spices, sugar, tea, and wine.

Are there any Fairtrade RSPCA Assured products?

When you buy any product with the RSPCA Assured logo you can be sure that the animals were cared for to RSPCA Assured higher welfare standards.
