We hope you will use Instagram to ask us questions about farm animal welfare, and to share current food and farming news or topics relevant to the UK.

We ask you to keep your comments and questions on the topic of higher welfare food and farming.

We reserve the right to remove off topic comments and to ban anyone who repeatedly makes off topic comments. We will not tolerate bullying, defamatory remarks, and we will remove posts that contravene this.

We will also remove entries that post details of farms, any details of any ongoing RSPCA investigations and any allegations of cruelty as ANY allegation of cruelty should be reported to the RSPCA cruelty line 0300 1234 999 where the appropriate people can take action straight away.

Moderation rules: Whilst we want this to be an open and honest forum we also want posts to be courteous and to not cause offence, therefore we reserve the right to delete any of the following:

  • violent, obscene, profane, hateful, or racist posts, links or images
  • comments that threaten or defame any person or organisation
  • solicitations, advertisements, or endorsements of any financial, commercial or not-for-profit organisations.
  • comments that suggest or encourage illegal activity
  • multiple successive off-topic posts by a single user
  • repetitive posts copied and pasted or duplicated by single or multiple users
  • posts containing specific details about RSPCA cruelty cases (these should be reported to the cruelty line on 0300 1234 999, and not posted on Facebook)
  • posts which we feel may potentially impact upon RSPCA prosecutions. Where an investigation is considered ‘active’, any comments made about the case may mean someone facing charges might not be in a position to have a fair trial and the trial could collapse.

We reserve the right to ban any user who infringes these rules.

If you have any questions or comments about this policy, please contact us via our website.
